RUST ANNOUNCES HE WILL NOT SEEK REELECTION

VTCA has learned that Delegate Tom Rust (R-Fairfax, Loudon), Chairman of the House Transportation Committee and Principal with Pennoni Associates (VTCA member) has announced that he will not seek reelection this fall. Delegate Rust has been a stalwart supporter of transportation since his election to the Virginia House of Delegates in 2002.

Delegate Rust joins several others in announcing their retirement from the Legislature including Senator John Watkins (R-Chesterfield); Senator Jeffrey McWaters (R-Va. Beach); Delegate Ed Scott (R-Culpeper); Senator Toddy Puller (D-Fairfax, Prince William, Stafford); and Senator Walter Stosch (R-Henrico).
