GENERAL ASSEMBLY SET TO ADJOURN…OR IS IT?

With the General Assembly scheduled to adjourn this Saturday, VTCA is well positioned on all of the significant bills we have been engaged with on behalf of our members. Our performance level is over 95%. That is, looking at bills we opposed and bills we supported, our success rate is over 95%. A job well done for our members. However, House and Senate budget conferees are still haggling over the details of the budget such as Medicaid expansion. It is very likely that the budget issues will not be resolved by the weekend. This would require the budget conferees to continue their work until a budget is final and then have the entire General Assembly come back for a vote. Stay tuned.
