General Assembly Update

KEY COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS ANNOUNCED

The House of Delegates has all Committees and Sub-Committees up and working.

Of particular interest are the members of the House Transportation Committee.  Tom Rust (R-Hendon) will Chair the committee, with Ron Villanueva (R-Virginia Beach) serving as Vice-Chairman. Other members of the Committee include: Tim Hugo (R-Centreville); Ed Scott (R- Culpeper); Barbara Comstock (R-McLean); Scott Garrett (R-Lynchburg); Greg Habeeb (R-Salem); Richard Anderson (R-Woodbridge); Randy Minchew (R-Leesburg); David Yancey (R-Newport News); Jim LeMunyon (R-Chantilly); Glenn Davis (R-Virginia Beach); Scott Taylor (R-Virginia Beach); Terry Austin (R-Buchanan); David LaRock (R-Hamilton); Jeion Ward (D-Hampton); Mayme BaCote (D-Newport News); Bob Brink (D-Arlington); David Toscano (D-Charlottesville); Delores McQuinn (Richmond); Betsy Carr (D-Richmond); and Eileen Filler-Corn (D-Springfield).

Also of interest is the House Appropriations Committee, Transportation Subcommittee.  Chris Peace (R-Mechanicsville) will chair the Subcommittee. Other members include: John O’Bannon (R-Henrico); Ed Scott (R-Culpeper); Chris Stolle (R-Virginia Beach); Richard Anderson (R-Woodbridge); Algie Howell (D-Norfolk); and Mayme Baycote (D-Newport News).
