HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE PASSES GOVERNOR’S TRANSPORTATION FUNDING BILL
Yesterday afternoon the House Appropriations Committee Passed the Governor’s transportation funding legislation (HB 2527) by a vote of 17-5. While they technically adopted a substitute, for all intents and purposes the bill will provide all of the funding initiatives proposed by the Governor. The House version of the Governor’s plan now goes to the entire House for a vote, which will probably occur on Friday.
The Senate Finance Committee will take up its version of the legislation (SB 1446) today.
The final vote in the House Appropriations Committee was:
YEAS—Putney, Morgan, Tata, Ingram, May, Sherwood, Cox, M.K., Landes, Jones, O’Bannon, Lingamfelter, Poindexter, Massie, Phillips, Howell, A.T., BaCote, Dance—17.
